The person in this role is a key to our support organization due to the personal qualities that he or she possess. Motivational and inspiring as well as organized have to co-exist in the one that aspires to take this position. One must see beyond the daily routine into the wellbeing of team and constantly enrich the customer experience by bring it to the next level. Also one has to co-create with the different parts of organization to enhance the processes and allow the organization to go to the next level of development. 
Function requires: 
  • Responsible for day to day management of the Support engineers;
  • Does capacity planning for the Support Engineers, both day-to-day as well as long-term capacity planning;
  • Ensures that Support Desk can meet its obligations
  • Manage virtual support teams ensuring their duties are fulfilled;
  • Logistics within operations. Co-ordinate testing, staging, assembly of cards, routers, hardware configurations, staging;
  • Reports on the key indicators to the Service Level Manager.
  • Ensure correct administration of spare parts and inventory. 
  • Responsible for maintaining the warehouse inventory: monitor warehouse;
  • Ensures that the spare stock administration is correct.
  • Monitor the RMA process and co-ordinate spare parts for support across the EU
  • Coordinates internal IT activities;
  • Reports weekly on open tickets for the Director of  Operations;
  • Provide reports on the equipment and licenses that are in use;
  • Provides monthly report on spare parts stock levels and necessity of new spare parts.
Additionally you possess the following personal characteristics:
  • Experience in the telecom industry non-less than 7 years;
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Independent, self-starting, team player;
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Enterprising – in other words a proactive, client- and result-oriented attitude;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and a no-nonsense mentality;
  • Serve as an example to the most expert engineers in the industry;
  • No nine to five mentality;
  • Excellent Dutch and English.
